Hawksmoor, London – Review

To finish off our cousin day after stocking up at Paul A Young’s with divine chocolates that we were trying hard to not tear into the second we left the shop, it was dinner time. And oh look where we just happened to find ourselves outside of…. Hawksmoor! Been on my must-eat list in London for so long to sample the succulent steaks, I couldn’t wait to unleash my inner cavewoman.

As we had theatre tickets to be scampering to we went for the set lunch menu and the options on offer made us very very very happy. My cousin went for the  Hawksmoor Hamburger cooked medium with Triple Cooked Chips.  Look at that perfect burger with its glossy brioche bun hat.

There was only one thing I was going to order, Rib-eye Steak with Bearnaise Sauce and Beef Dripping Fries. Yes, I am that person. Bring on the meat. A raw beauty that was one of the best steaks of my life, slightly smokey with the richness of the Bearnaise. I have found a new happy place.

Where can I get this sign for my lounge???

And for pudding, we went for the same thing as is there is a Peanut Butter Shortbread. Gooey chocolate middle surrounded by a crumbly peanut butter shortbread and caramel ice cream. Dreamy. For £24 for 2 courses, I know I will be back again to try other steaks and take advantage of the amazing looking cocktail list. We hot-footed it to the theatre to watch one of the funniest and wildly in inappropriate musical ever – Book of Mormon!!! Amazing if you haven’t seen it then what are you waiting for!!! I left with my cheeks aching and a sore throat from laughing so much! Another fantastic cousin day!!
