Boston Tea Party, Bristol – Review

I love me some brunch. What isn’t to love about meal between breakfast and lunch. Even more so when you’ve been on a gin fuelled evening the night before.  Lucky for me, a Boston Tea Party has just opened on Gloucester Road, five minutes for where I live. Meaning I’m a stone’s throw for the restorative elixir of a flat white coffee and Eggs Benedict.

The sun was shining for the first time in what seems like 15 years, so we donned our sunnies and got our brunch on. The awesome thing about my friends (there are many non-food-related qualities) they are willing to share their food with me, not to let me taste more dishes, not they also want to have half of my food to try something another dish.

My friend when for the super sexy Eggs Benedict. Thick ham, oozy poached eggs, buttery rich hollandaise sauce on perfectly toasted English muffins to mop up all the goodness. Damn it was good.

I went for the brand spanking new Sourdough Eggy Bread with Smoked Bacon. I know right, how good does that sound?? Sourdough eggy bread with a hint of thyme showing up to the party topped with crispy thick smoked bacon,  juicy roasted vine cherry tomatoes and creamy avocado. It’s the ultimate breakie, dreamy and all served with Tabasco sauce on the side to spice up life.

My other friend who is veggie (we don’t hold that against her- too much!) went for the Eggs Florentine same as our Eggs Benedict but sans ham and wilted spinach which looked equally delicious and glorious in the sunshine.

Energised from such good food and the vitamin D we trotted off with very full stomachs, looking for mischief.
